Charming 3* hotel in the Dordogne Perigord Noir
Hosts Ann and Steven Jordan and their bi-lingual (French and English speaking) team look forward to welcoming you to Auberge de La Salvetat, our small, relaxed and friendly family run Logis 3* hotel restaurant in the Dordogne Perigord Noir between Bergerac and Sarlat. The hotel is situated in tranquil open countryside just outside the pretty village of Cadouin which is famous for its Cistercian abbey. From May take advantage of our beautiful 12m x 6m infinity swimming pool.
The Hotel is very close to 7 of the “plus beaux Villages de France” and to chateaux, gardens, caves, markets and villages of Belvès, Beynac, Castelnaud, Domme, La Roque Gageac, Limeuil, Marqueyssac, Les Eyzies, Monpazier, Sarlat (famous for its food market) or Lascaux. Walking and bike routes run from the door and bike hire is available.
Good food! Romantic restaurant & terrace
Enjoy good food embracing local and modern cuisine. The Dordogne is the region of duck products including foie gras, magret (succulent duck breast) and confit de canard, black truffles, wild mushrooms, walnuts and the Bergerac wines of Monbazillac, Pécharment and Montravel. Our kitchen headed by Ann and our chef has a reputation for good food offering local and regional specialities and we always have vegetarian and gluten free options.
The atmosphere in the romantic restaurant or on the shady terrace in the summer months is relaxed and friendly with Steve as front of house to greet you with a smile. Here at La Salvetat we support the principles of Slow Food and local food traditions. Our food is freshly prepared and cooked in our own kitchen and served in an idyllic setting surrounded by lawns, flower borders and trees.
